HR Administration Assistant – Fixed Term, 6 months – 37.5 hrs per week

Salary £24,000p.a (DOE)

Reporting to the Senior HR Administrator, the successful candidate will play a vital part in a fantastic HR Team, in a fast paced business environment. They will be working predominantly on specific projects, (file auditing/data cleansing), and other administration tasks covering the whole employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding. This role provides the opportunity for the right candidate to learn on the job.

We are looking for a well organised individual who is looking for a challenge and has strong administrative skills and a meticulous eye for detail as well as a good knowledge of GDPR compliance. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out daily administration tasks within the department, and have excellent interpersonal skills, including tact & diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being the first point of contact for all HR related queries
  • Administering day to day HR related documentation, including processing & filing paperwork to employee files
  • Ensuring relevant HR databases are kept up to date
  • Working on specific (data cleansing/file auditing) projects to ensure all employee hard and electronic files are compliant with GDPR legislation.
  • Organising & carrying out the confidential disposal of paperwork that is no longer required
  • Take meeting notes as required

Our Ideal Candidate will:

Have experience working in a busy HR environment. They will also have experience of working with Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word & Excel, and have a good knowledge of GDPR compliance.

They should have a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage their time and conflicting priorities. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and will have confidence in dealing with internal customers as well as external

What is on offer:

This role will be contracted for 37.5 hours per week, working 8.30-5, Mon – Fri (exclusive of a half hour lunch break). This post is based predominantly at our Coatbridge office, however there may be some travel required to our other group sites, across Central Scotland, as and when required.
